Schomp BMW has developed a reputation for providing the Rocky Mountain region with top-notch customer service and, of course, beautiful cars for over 50 years—but a new decade called for a refresh.

Founded in 1968, Schomp BMW started out on Dartmouth Ave and later moved to South Broadway before settling into its Highlands Ranch location in 2008, which it now shares with Schomp MINI and Schomp Honda. But after 12 years on Plum Valley Lane, the Schomp team decided the space could use a facelift. With a desire to create a more open-floor plan and facilitate greater continuity between service and sales, Schomp BMW of Highlands Ranch began remodeling their 86,000 square-foot-showroom in early 2020. Even despite COVID-related delays, construction was completed in only six months and the showroom was able to reopen in early July.

The redesign features several key additions that aim to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. Upon entry into the showroom, guests are reminded of the many accolades the Highlands Ranch location has received (including the 2020 BMW Center of Excellence) as they approach the reception area where a barista offers coffee and other beverages. The showroom interior was opened up to take advantage of Colorado’s over 300 days of sunshine and let natural light flood the space. This open floor plan allows for more than a dozen vehicles to be on display in the showroom, including a special alcove to highlight the BMW M vehicle.
The lower level, which houses the delivery area and service section, was also thoughtfully redone. The service area was given a similar treatment to the showroom with the creation of an open floor plan and more windows to welcome in more natural light. Along with a greeting area the service space houses a waiting lounge, which abounds with charging ports, purse hooks, and complimentary beverages, and BMW Boutique. In the delivery bay, the space was crafted to create a calm, convenient area for guests to learn the various features and functions of their new vehicle with minimal environmental interference.

With a new remodel that puts the experience of guests first, Schomp BMW seems set to serve the Denver area and beyond for another 50 years.
