More than 45 years ago, Porcelanosa was founded in the small village of Castellon, Spain. The founding family still runs the company today, providing architectural and interior design solutions to consumers and the design community with unparalleled innovation, quality, and service. Porcelanosa’s global presence extends to more than 140 countries through over 400 company-owned showrooms — including one right here in Denver.

In September, Porcelanosa Denver officially resettled into a larger, more marquee space in the Denver Design District after six years in its previous location. We talked with Sales Manager Antonio Romero about the big move and what they did with the almost 1,500 square feet they picked up in the process.

What do you like most about the new space and what have you been able to include that would not fit in your old space?

Our new showroom is 5,300 square feet, as opposed to the 3,800 square feet we had in the former space. This has allowed us to feature a technical area dedicated to porcelain facades and exterior decking systems. The additional space also allowed us to double the size of our architectural library, making the space a good resource for homeowners and professionals alike. However, more than the extra square footage, I feel that the rectangular layout and better lighting are what truly make the space shine. The new layout has allowed us to display additional important collections such as kitchens, closets, and custom cabinetry as well as large format porcelain panels.

You hosted an incredible opening party for the new showroom last month, are you planning on using the space for events throughout the year? If so, tell us what you have in mind.

Yes, the main idea behind moving to the landmark building here in the Denver Design District is to build brand awareness and also grow our interaction with the design community. We are actively discussing event opportunities with different local design organizations, chefs and even a European electric bike manufacturer. The new space features a fully functional kitchen that includes the latest advances in European appliance technology as well as an open space in the center of the showroom that creates the perfect spot for presentations, parties and socializing events. Our goal is to use our new location to bring lively events related to fashion, design, food, sustainability, urban mobility, etc. to the Denver community.
