A Wave of Warhol Revival

ALTHOUGH REMEMBERED FOR THE WORDS, “EVERYONE WILL BE FAMOUS FOR 15 MINUTES,” ANDY WARHOL’S SPOTLIGHT HAS EXTENDED LONG BEYOND THIS BREVITY, AS THE ICONIC POP ARTIST OF THE 60S, 70S, AND 80S SEALED HIS FATE AS AN EVERLASTING FIGURE FOR VISUAL ART AND EXPRESSIONISM.

Warhol has continued, long after his death in 1987, to garner talk, attention, and shows that remind us of his eternal relevancy and aesthetic brilliance. From his likeness-producing practices (See: Campbell’s Soup Can) to his range of interests (film, photographer, entertainer), and the scenes that took place behind the walls of his notable studio, we’re privy an even closer, more intimate, look of ‘Drella’ in a slew of upcoming books focused on the artists.

Hear it from Modern in Denver first – in the coming months we’ll be flushed with a wave of Warhol Revival that brings a number of new books and shows focusing on the bleach-haired bohemian.
