Established in 1973 in Verona, Italy by the Benedini family and later relocated to Mantua, The Agape Design Brand presents their take on the bathroom by collecting the disparate pieces of the bath and arranging them into coherent, modern collections.

The award-winning company boasts iconic products such as the Spoon and Ottocento bathtubs by Benedini Associati Architects. With their ever-growing popularity, Agape continues to make its mark around the world, now counting Denver as a select showroom location.

An icon of modern design and frequently imitated, the Spoon–designed in 1998 by Giampaolo Benedini–is unmistakable, defined by its curved shape and bold yet welcoming personality which is strong enough to define the entire bathroom.

This as well as the entire Agape Collection, is now available in the U.S. and specifically the rocky mountain west region through Rifugio Modern’s Blake Street showroom.

Highlighted here is the Ottocento tub as designed by Benedini Associati in 2009. Inspired by the shapes of the distant past, Ottocento is interpreted with a contemporary look; unlike the cast iron tubs of old, it is made in Cristalplant biobased, a smooth, soft, modern composite material that helps retain the warmth of the water.

“I was beyond thrilled to find that Agape was not being properly represented in Denver,” says Brian Pignanelli, owner and design consultant at Rifugio Modern. “The reception and interest has been amazing and grows by the week. It nearly always starts with interest in the most popular bathtub in the world, the iconic Spoon, and often leads to so much more. Agape offers a complete bathroom solution for nearly every occasion!”
