Vendor Showcase August 28

Rod_headshotLooking for design ideas? Kitchen and bath experts? Then you’ll want to head to CAPCO Tile & Stone Thursday, August 28 for the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) Annual Vendor Showcase. To learn more, we caught up with CAPCO’s Rod Salyer, who has been hosting the event for 6 years. Read on to see what you can expect while you’re there.

You have been hosting NKBA Rocky Mountain Chapter Resource Fair for 6 years. Why is it such a good event for both the designers and the vendors?
This event gives designers and architects a rare opportunity to see many vendors in such a comfortable setting. This is a perfect venue for designers to see and learn about new products, and consequently, it is also a great place for vendors to meet so many of the designers who are the most heavily invested in our trade.

What can we expect from this year’s event? Any surprises?
It wouldn’t be fair to leak any surprises at this point, would it? Our team has been curating the products that we will be displaying in order to show the trendiest, hippest and most interesting products we sell, and the other exhibitors are doing the same. It should be another visually and professionally stimulating affair, with a fun summer theme and a food truck provided by CAPCO.

Tell us about the vendors that will be at the show.
This year we already have 30 vendors, which is an all-time high. If it goes into a kitchen or bath, we will have samples and real live vendor representatives there to answer questions, demonstrate products, and help solve any design problem you can throw at them.

How valuable is NKBA to CAPCO and the design community?
The NKBA is one of the most important organizations in our industry. They have been promoting the advancement of the built environment for over 50 years, through education, networking, and by encouraging the type of event CAPCO has the privilege of hosting on August 28.

The event is open to the public and is not limited to chapter members, but you must register to attend. We’ll see you there!
