WHAT: OneWall Project Unveiling
WHEN: Wednesday, May 14
WHERE: On the side of Buell Theater at 13th and Champa, Denver
WHY: OneWall is a community-driven art initiative that aims to elevate both local artists and the Denver art scene. The first OneWall installation is a giant collaborative work of art that reflects the history of Redline, Denver’s residency artist program. By transforming blank walls around Denver, the artwork will create a free outdoor art gallery accessible to everyone.
WHAT: Cosentino Showroom Opening
WHEN: Thursday, May 15, 6-9 p.m.
WHERE: Cosentino Center Denver, 12435 E. 42nd Ave., Denver
WHY: Cosentino has been working on its new showroom, and we’re excited to help celebrate this grand opening. The new Denver Center will provide a state-of-the-art interactive design facility, showroom, and fully stocked warehouse that focuses on streamlining the kitchen and bath design experience for architects, designers, fabricators, distributors and consumers. Cosentino specializes in natural stone, quartz, and recycled surfacing.
WHEN: Friday, May 23, 6-10 p.m.
WHERE: Cluster Studios, 3881 Steele St., Denver
WHY: Together with the Italian happy hour food, there will be 20 Vespa scooters from private collections, and contemporary Vespa models from Erico Motorsports. Also FIAT Denver will be in attendance, and the evening will host a runway show featuring 15 designers. A portion of proceeds will benefit the non-profit foundation S.O.U.L. Ferrari test pilot Fabrizio Actis will be there to answer questions about Formula 1. In addition to Italian wines, there will be cocktails from Tequila Suerte.
WHAT: Monkey Town 4
WHEN: Tuesdays-Sundays until June 1
WHERE: 3545 Larimer St., Denver
WHY: The legendary New York City video cinema and dining experience is open in Denver only for a few more weeks. The audience sits inside a giant cube of four 24-foot screens while enjoying tasting menus with wine pairings. Denver marks the first city outside of New York in an expected three-year national and international tour.
WHAT: Will Day Art Gallery + Studio Opening
WHEN: Thursday, May 15, 5-8 p.m.
WHERE: Will Day Art Gallery + Studio, 3550 Frontier Ave. A2, Boulder
WHY: Will Day’s color-drenched, bold and gestural, abstract approach energizes each oversize canvas he creates. Will’s intent and purpose is to evoke the power of emotion, motivation and inspiration to the mind, heart and soul of each and everyone who views his art.
