AIA National Convention

The AIA National Convention comes to Denver! This weekend! In celebration of the 20,000 expected attendees coming to celebrate our built environment and the industry that impacts our surrounding environment we published our first-ever infographic! Click below to see By The Numbers. And check out some of the AIA National Convention activities open to the public.

AIAViewfinders on the 16th Street Mall
AIA Colorado and the Downtown Denver Partnership unveiled two Viewfinders on the 16th Street Mall (at Arapahoe and Larimer streets). Each Viewfinder frames specific views of selected architecture along the Mall, which frequently go unnoticed, in order to bring awareness to the contributions of architects in their communities. Teams comprised of architects, engineers and contractors designed and constructed these interactive sculptures. Viewfinder Teams | SLATERPAULL ARCHITECTS, Spectrum General Contractors, and KL&A, Inc. ART-chitecture Walk | June 20th
Join AIA Colorado, Gallery 1261, Goodwin Fine Art, Sandra Phillips Gallery and Walker Fine Art on Thursday, June 20, from 6 – 8 pm, for a Futuristic Colorado ART-chitecture Walk in the Golden Triangle Museum District.

Twenty Colorado architecture firms and students from the CU Denver and CU Boulder will showcase unbuilt projects in Colorado, giving attendees an idea about what our state may look like in the coming years. Also, this event will provide an opportunity for our community to engage in a dialog on the importance of architecture.

Tapping Celebration with FREE Beer | June 20
Join AIA Colorado and Rock Bottom Brewery on Thursday, June 20, at 6 pm, for a tapping celebration of Building Bock, a custom beer brewed in honor of the convention.
