Harter just introduced a new chair that cannot be categorized.  It goes by “Otis” and is comfortable like a lounge chair, though small enough to stack and play many roles in your home or work environment.  Plus the Otis plays nice, as it contains close to 50 percent post-consumer material in the Petra polymer seat. Choose its personality with clear or translucent inserts around the molded seat, four-leg style or cantilever base.  Made for commercial or residential environments, this sturdy chair feels good in any space.  The designer, David Granger of bangdesign in Australia, said it best, "This is a chair that combines the essential, long-held comfort and functionality requirements of a seat, back and arms in one single, simple, pure form or shape."  Coming soon to Source Four, the local representation of Harter, part of the izzy+ family.  More at www.sourcefour.com.

Is it art or science?  Stefan Diez, the former assistant to Konstantin Grcic, mixed the history of Thonet’s woodworking and new innovations in wood processing to create the 404H Diez stool.  This three legged stool is inspired by a riding saddle, not only with the seat shape, but also with the slight bounce when you sit on it.  Its molded plywood seat, laminated wood frame, and functional slip-resistant, non-abrasive base come together to form an eccentric little piece that charms its way up to your counter or bar.  Source Four is the local representative of ICF, the company that imports this piece from Germany.  More at www.sourcefour.com.
