Last December, Red Door Swingin', a popular boutique specializing in modern home accessories, shut its doors. For five years leading up to the closure, Suzanne Blaylock had built the business on her signature style of astute eclecticism. Entering the old Red Door Swingin’ was to step into a retail wonderland of whimsical merchandise displays, unique product choices and a ubiquitous sense of creative brilliance.
These days, Red Door Swingin’ survives as an online store, housing Blaylock’s handbag line, called Hip Slip. For anyone who was familiar with the charm of Red Door Swingin', they can now rediscover it in Blaylock's new Hip Slip designs.
Hip Slips come in all shapes and sizes, but most recently, Blaylock has been churning out lines of smaller variations. While Blaylock produces multiple quantities of each design, she is also in a constant mode of creating new ones. As a result, buyers are perpetually met with fresh design choices.
