Denver-based Stamina Films announces the launch of StaminaFilms.com, a dynamic online directory of film professionals with ties to the Rocky Mountain region.
The brainchild of art director and web developer David Lucas, Stamina supports the Rocky Mountain film industry by giving local film professionals an effective online venue to showcase their work. “It’s hard to make yourself visible online,” explains Lucas. “Small, independent film people aren’t necessarily going to come up in Google searches. And often sites with a lot of video content are built in Flash – a platform that’s essentially invisible to search engines.” By linking in to Stamina Films, film professionals can easily display their reels, clips and portfolios on a higher-visibility, more highly searchable site. Stamina contributors also reap the benefits of scale and community. Says Leslie Allen of Walk the Line Films, “the great thing about a site like Stamina is that it gives production agencies, advertising agencies and other potential clients a one-stop shop for everything this area has to offer. Ultimately, that just strengthens the local industry for all of us.” The time is ripe for aggressive online marketing in the local film industry, as pending tax initiatives stand to make scenic Colorado an even more attractive destination for production companies across the country. In addition to browsing the work of directors, producers, cinematographers, location scouts and more, visitors to Stamina Films can catch up on the latest news about film festivals, contests and other topics of interest. “It’s an easy way to stay informed about what’s new in the industry and what my colleagues are up to,” says Monty Miranda, director of Skills Like This. “Definitely a great addition to the Denver film scene.” visit StaminaFilms
