Jared Layton of The Denver Shade Company breathes shade technology and design, and we love picking his brain on the latest trends in store. From more accessible home automation (thanks to Lutron’s new compatibility with Alexa) and battery-powered shades, we’re excited to see shade technology evolve. Have a look at the highlights in 2017:
Renson Panamax Shade
Shade made specifically for corner class windows. In the past corner mounted motorized shades left large gaps in the corner – with the new panamax this gap es essentially eliminated.
A new version of the Renson Smart Pergola. The Aluminum blade louvers not only rotate closed and open but also retract. This allows for full sun, partial sun, or closed for the afternoon thunderstorm.
Lutron shades now work with Amazon Alexa – Lutron continues to make their smart shades smarter by partnering with products and companies in the connected home space. Also Lutron introduced into the Triathlon battery powered shade an architectural fascia for clean modern look. Smart shades have never been easier to install and operate.
A new revamped version is out for 2017 with extended sizes and colors, but with the same great modern cassette appeal. Can be surface mounted or recessed into a reveal space
