KKoutlet’s “Object Abuse” challenged artists to repurpose an everyday object into an innovative item. Dominic Wilcox accepted the challenge with his creation of Brush Hooks: forgetting to wash his brushes before they dried inspired an entirely new use for the otherwise futile art supplies. Wilcox capitalized on the strength of the brushes to create hooks, hanging them on the wall by inserting a nail in the handle of the brush.
